The client of our detective agency in Brandenburg an der Havel was involved with a woman who had worked for several years in the red-light sector as an escort, but had since sworn to our client that she had given up this profession to fully commit to their relationship. Equipped with common sense, the client questioned this promise. Before advancing his marriage and family plans, he wanted certainty about whether his partner was truly faithful and honest.
For this reason, he commissioned our detectives in Brandenburg an der Havel (+49 331 2785 0052) to verify whether his partner was continuing to work at her former workplace, a relevant private brothel, contrary to all assurances.
How can it be determined if person A is working at workplace B? In addition to workplace checks via databases such as social security registrations, investigations are often conducted through surveillance. In this case, both the former "stage name" of the target and her workplace were known. The stage name is a cover used to protect the privacy of sex workers; for simplicity, we will refer to the target as the fictitious—but typical—escort name "Stella." As Stella’s services were location-specific and bookable, the detective in Brandenburg an der Havel could directly verify the suspicion through personal observation.
As the client insisted on an on-site verification by an eyewitness (= detective) rather than only a phone confirmation, the investigator went to the establishment without prior appointment. Upon being received and introducing himself under a false name, our private investigator was shown a room with all available ladies. Stella was not among them. This could mean that she:
In a subsequent conversation with the receptionist, our corporate detective expressed dissatisfaction with the “selection” and specifically inquired about Stella, recommended to him by a friend. The receptionist then stated that Stella had called in sick today but was expected back the next day. Accordingly, a prompt appointment with Stella was scheduled.
At the arranged appointment, the private detective returned to the establishment. The receptionist guided him to a room where he was to verify Stella’s identity only, as instructed by the client. Sexual acts were to be avoided according to the instructions.
However, he encountered Stella on his way through the establishment, visibly seated with two other persons. He was able to clearly identify her as the client’s partner. Following prior instructions, he feigned conscience and claimed he could not “do that” to his wife, apologised to the receptionist and left.
Although our investigator assured the client he was almost one hundred percent certain to have seen Stella, the client requested a further operation. Initially, he had excluded sexual contact during the detective’s visit, but now insisted on it to be fully certain of his partner’s activities. As the initially deployed detective was married and already somewhat “burned,” a single operative had to be found to carry out the assignment.
On-site, the young detective booked the service with the receptionist and waited in a room. Another lady appeared first, stating she would start the massage before being replaced by Stella. The detective, instructed to stop immediately once contact reached his intimate area, had to endure the first part to document Stella’s involvement. After about half an hour, Stella replaced the other lady and proceeded with the service, allowing the detective to end the assignment. The client then had definitive confirmation that his partner was active in prostitution.
